Edouard Glissant has died. I remember reading his Poetics of Relation in graduate school. I got interested in him as a kind of off-shoot from the research I had been doing on Césaire. The breathy way he develops concepts still blows me away. These are kind of prose-poem-concepts. Really lovely.
