Poetry aims to escape the logic of discourse.

things I like about your sentence/that allow me to agree:

1. "escape" doesn't mean "not come back to"

2. escaping the logic of discourse doesn't necessarily mean escaping logic ... it could be _finding_ a better logic, an emotional logic, a visual logic, a holistic logic, etc.

Escape does not mean not come back to, but perhaps come back to in a different way. Refreshed? Demented? Relinquished?

YES YES: always looking for variants of "logic"--the hidden logic, the associative logic, the rhythmic or musical logic. That's it!
